Cornerstone.
The café on the corner, since 2018.
All-day breakfast, slow-roasted coffee, natural wine by the glass. Pastry baked every morning by Marcella, who has opinions about butter.
● A little history
We opened the doors on a Tuesday, and forgot to tell anyone.
Cornerstone started because Marcella couldn't find sourdough she liked on this side of the river, and because none of the cafés within walking distance would let you sit for three hours without hovering.
Eight years later, we've got the same corner, two more people behind the counter, and a reputation for being the best place to read a book, make a new friend, or spend twenty minutes deciding what to order.

★★★★★
"Best flat white in the neighborhood, and the only place with a bookshelf I don't hate. Marcella's sourdough is a religious experience."

"We've been coming here since they opened. It's the kind of place that feels like yours after two visits. Cannot recommend the lamb pide highly enough."

"I wrote half my dissertation in the back booth and they brought me pastry I didn't order, for free, because Rob said I looked tired."
